If you are looking to shoot some pool while grabbing a burger, both Booches and Billiards on Broadway are local favorites. Be sure to try out each and see whose burger you like best! Going out of the downtown area, 44 Stone Public House is a must try (be sure to bring your stretchy pants). And, while this is technically not a restaurant, if you want an awesome cookie be sure to head in to Hot Box Cookies, a locally owned business that has several types of cookies readily available (they even deliver). Columbia, MO boasts an extensive trail system that creates an over 30 mile loop with additional interconnected pathways that are both paved and made of crushed limestone. The MKT trail, which has been rated as 2nd best in the nation for "Best Urban Trail", starts in downtown Columbia winding 8.9 miles west from the city, eventually connecting to the Katy Trail. The Katy Trail is the longest developed rail-trail in the country built upon what was the Missouri-Kansas-Texas railway. Now it is a 240 mile long limestone path that goes between Saint Louis and Kansas City.

Within the same buidling as Uprise Bakery, you can find the RagTag Cinema, a non-profit independent movie theater that shows many films before they become available mainstream. Both The Blue Note and Rose Music Hall have regular musicians come in to play shows. While both venues are not huge, Rose Music Hall is a more private setting allowing for a cool show experience.
